November 21, 1996
Soil Suitability Study Parcel Map No. (MS-96-10) Cont.
Percolation Tests Continued:
On November 6, 7, 1996,two percolation tests were performed by me on
the above referenced property in conformance with the San Joaquin
County Ordinance No. 549. The approximate location of the test holes are
shown on the accompanying detail map.
Parcel No. 1 had a percolation rate of 60 minutes per inch.
Parcel No. 2 had a percolation rate of 24 minutes per inch.
Soil Profile:
A soil profile was not performed because depth to well water is in excess
170 feet.
Water Analysis:
Private Well -Nitrate 5.1 mg/L; DBCP -Not Detected
Recommendations:
Parcel No. 1 -The percolation test is representative of just a small area.
Because of this and that the shallow percolation rate just barely passed, it
is recommended that either pits or sumps be installed. Also an additional
percolation test(s) should be performed at the locations(s) of where any
proposed septic system is to be installed.
Parcel No. 2 -Leach lines with 10,000 Sq. Ft. minimum usable disposal
area is recommended.
No special treatment of the well water is required.
A copy of this report should be made available to the purchaser of either
parcel.
-3-
