SOIL ExAvATiON AND SUBSURFACE INVESRGA11ON RESULTS REPORT <br /> 32 Tokay Street Lodi California <br /> 1 0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report documents the results of the soil excavation and subsurface investigation <br /> supervised by Aegis Environmental, Inc (Aegis), at the Pacific Coast Producers Lodi <br /> Cannery located at 32 Tokay Street in Lodi, California (Figures 1 and 2) Included are the <br /> results of excavation and soil boring sampling and analysis This report includes <br /> information provided by Dufour Environmental and Resource Management, and is subject <br /> to modification as newly acquired information may warrant <br /> 1 1 Purpose <br /> The purpose of the excavation and subsurface investigation was to <br /> • characterize the soil in the area of a former underground diesel tank, <br /> particularly for the presence of petroleum hydrocarbons, <br /> • excavate hydrocarbon-impacted soils from the former diesel tank basin, <br /> • backfill, compact, and pave the excavated area to original conditions, and, <br /> • dispose of the excavated soils at an appropriate facile off site <br /> facility <br /> 12 Scope <br /> The scope of work completed at the site was performed according to the Aegis standard <br /> operating procedures included in Appendix A, and included the following <br /> i <br /> • Trenching and sal sample collection and analysis to assess the extent of <br /> hydrocarbon-impacted soil <br /> • Excavation of approximately 200 cubic yards of hydrocarbon-impacted soil <br /> from the former diesel tank basin <br /> • Collection and on-site laboratory analysis of sod samples from the <br /> excavation to confirm removal of soil containing petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> • Temporary stockpiling of sod generated during the excavation The <br /> stockpiled sal was placed on and covered by plastic sheeting, pending sod <br /> sample analytical results <br /> • Backfilling and compacting the excavation after approval from the San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Services Department/Environmental Health <br /> Division (County) The site was also paved and restored to its original <br /> . surface condition <br /> 92-074A ERR <br /> I <br />
