SaL BM"G AND SAMRING*MIPLM <br /> 32 Tokay Street Lodi Cakfornia <br /> Some potentially impacted soil could not be removed safely because of proximity to a <br /> building Additionally, the vertical extent of detectable hydrocarbons was not determined <br /> This workplan addresses the County's request for additional subsurface characterization <br /> by drilling and sampling soil borings <br /> 3.0 WORKPLAN <br /> 3.1 Soil Boring and Sampling <br /> The proposed scope of work will be performed according to the Aegis standard operating <br /> procedures included in Appendix A, and includes the following <br /> • Drill, log, and sample one angled and two vertical sal borings to a <br /> maximum total depth of 30 feet below ground surface, until groundwater or <br /> estimated clean soil is found Two of the borings will be drilled vertically, <br /> and one angled beneath the building near the former diesel UST The <br /> boring locations are indicated on Figure 2 <br /> • Collect soil samples at a maximum vertical spacing of 5 feet and at <br /> significant lithology changes, or where petroleum hydrocarbon <br /> contamination is evident <br /> • Field screen soil samples and drill cuttings by sight, odor, and with a , <br /> portable photoionization detector <br /> • Based on field screening, submit selected soil samples (no more than 4 per <br /> boring) to a state-certified laboratory for petroleum hydrocarbon analysis <br /> • Drill cuttings will be temporarily stockpiled on site and disposed of along <br /> Iwith sod previously removed from the excavation <br /> • The borings will be backfilled with a neat cement/bentonite slurry upon <br /> completion <br /> 3.2 Report Preparation <br /> The soil boring activities will be documented in the report of excavation results The <br /> finalized report will be submitted to the County following client approval All work will be <br /> Econducted under the direction of a professional geologist, registered with the State of <br /> California <br /> 92-074B WPN 2 <br /> 1 <br />
