21 November 2008 <br /> AGE-NC Project No. 99-0592 <br /> Page 2 of 2 <br /> 500-m1 plastic container with nitric acid preservative;one 500-m1 plastic container without <br /> I, <br /> preservative; and three of more 1,000-m1 plastic containers without preservative. <br /> As directed by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) letter dated 15 <br /> July 2008 (Appendix A),AGE proposes the following modifications to the Work Plan: <br /> • Baseline analysis of soil and ground water samples is to include tertiary butyl formate (TBF), <br /> bromate, bromide, and tungsten along with constituents previously proposed in <br /> aforementioned Work Plan Appendix B and C. <br /> I <br /> • Injectant analysis, soil and ,ground water reactionary analysis (specifically documenting <br /> expected intermediate and end products)will provided by a State of California Department <br /> of Public Health-certified laboratory after completion of the Oozone BST; results will be <br /> presented in the subsequent Ozone Injection Bench Scale Report. <br /> • If ozone injection is determined by AGE to be a feasible form of site mitigation,a work plan <br /> for site implementation will,be recommended; if not applicable, another remedial form of <br /> site mitigation will be recommended. On-site remediation will only take place after <br /> completion of the laboratoriOzone BST and EHD approval has been given to continue with <br /> ozone injection as a suitable remediation method.No proposal for reversing geochemical <br /> processes, aborting injection, or continency plan is necessary. <br /> The opportunity to provide this service is greatly appreciated.
