Remedial Action Work Plan <br /> Former CURTISS PONTIAC-BUICK <br /> 2450 Toste Road, Tracy, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr. Joe Toste, Jr. of JT Storage,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE), has <br /> prepared this Remedial Action Work Plan (RAWP) documenting procedures for excavation of <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted soil and monitored natural attenuation(MNA)of ground water at <br /> 2450 Toste Road(site),Tracy,California.The site setting is illustrated in Figure 1. The layout of the <br /> property and locations of wells and soil borings are depicted in Figure 2. <br /> The RAWP was required by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)by <br /> letters dated 16 August 2002 and 14 October 2002,and was prepared in accordance with guidelines <br /> established by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for the <br /> subsurface investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is situated within a retail business development in a business/agricultural area of western <br /> Tracy, and consists of a roughly triangular parcel of land bordered on the northwest by Toste Road. <br /> A large showroom/office structure for auto sales is located on the site. Additional site background <br /> information is provided in Appendix A. <br /> 3.0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The proposed scope of work includes removal of petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted soil from the <br /> former gasoline UST location and monitor natural attenuation of impacted ground water. The <br /> proposed soil removal and ground water monitoring will entail the following tasks: <br /> • Permitting and pre-field work activities; <br /> • Monitoring well abandonment and replacement; <br /> • Soil removal and disposal; <br /> • Ground water monitoring and sampling; and <br /> • Report preparation. <br /> 3.1.
