' I i July 2002
. AGE-NC Project No 96-0254
The depths to ground water in wells MW-I through MW-7 and GLMW-3 were measured between
6 99 feet and 8 75 feet below the tops of the well casings Ground water elevations at the site ranged
between 28 16 feet above mean sea level (MSL) in well MW-7 and 30 26 feet above MSL in well
' MW-6 Ground water elevations at the site decreased an average 0 27 feet between the January 2002
and April 2002 sampling events
Monitoring well GLMW-3 was "drowned" this quarter, the water level was 1 25 feet above the
screened interval of this well
The ground water flow direction for the 23 April 2002 sampling event was inferred to be toward the
north at an average hydraulic gradient of 0 007 feet/feet, data from the deeper-screened wells
MW-lA, MW-2A and MW-7 was not used to determine the ground water gradient Figure 3
' illustrates the contoured ground water elevations
' 3 2 LABORATORY RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
TPH-g was detected in the samples collected from wells MWAB and MW-4 at concentrations of
lie 1,700 micrograms per liter(µg/1) and 750 µg/1, respectively(Figure 4) TPH-d was detected in the
water samples collected from wells MW-1B and MW-4 at concentrations of 100µg11 and 170 µg/l
TPH-g and TPH-d were not detected in the remaining samples
BTEX compounds were detected in the ground water samples collected from monitoring wells
MW-1B and MW-4 at concentrations as high as 470 µg11 benzene, 85 µg/1 toluene and 82 µg/l
xylenes in MW-1B and 12 µg/l ethylbenzene in MW-4 (Figure 5)
MTBE was detected by EPA Method 8260B in the samples collected from MW-1B, MW2B and
MW-4 at concentrations of 12 gg/l, 10 µg/l and 4 0 µg11, respectively (Figure 6) No other fuel
additives were detected in the ground water samples
The analytical results are summarized in Table 2 Copies of the laboratory reports(MAI Laboratory
ID 0204358-OOIA to -010A), QA/QC reports and chain-of-custody forms are in Appendix B
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based on the data collected duan this monitoring period, AGE concludes
g g
• The depth to ground water at the site was between 6 99 to 8 75 feet below the well casing
tops Ground water elevations at the site decreased an average 0 27 feet between the January
Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc
