i <br /> i11 July 2002 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 96-0254 <br /> iPage 4 of 4 <br /> i 2002 and April 2002 sampling events The prevailing ground water flow direction at the site <br /> was generally toward the north, consistent with the previously determined flow directions <br /> • The water level in monitoring well GLMW-3 was 1 25 feet above the screened Interval of <br /> ithis well <br /> • Petroleum hydrocarbon-Impacted ground waterwas encountered in samples from monitoring <br /> i wells MW-113 and MW-4 with benzene concentrations exceeding the State of California <br /> maximum contaminant level (MCL) of 1 µg/1 in samples collected from the wells <br /> i • MTBE were detected in the ground water samples collected from MW-1B, MW-2B and <br /> MW-4 at a maximum concentration of 12 gg/l, which is below California's primary <br /> Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) of 13 µg/1,but is above the secondary MCL of 5 pg/l <br /> ifor MTBE in drinking water <br /> i5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> i• Based on the results of this investigation, AGE recommends, continued quarterly ground water <br /> monitoring at the site The next monitoring event should be scheduled for July 2002 Additionally, <br /> AGE recommends the preparation of Corrective Action Plan(CAP)as discussed during a meeting <br /> iwith Environmental Health Department personnel on 02 November 2001. <br /> i6.0.
