i
i11 July 2002
AGE-NC Project No 96-0254
iPage 4 of 4
i 2002 and April 2002 sampling events The prevailing ground water flow direction at the site
was generally toward the north, consistent with the previously determined flow directions
• The water level in monitoring well GLMW-3 was 1 25 feet above the screened Interval of
ithis well
• Petroleum hydrocarbon-Impacted ground waterwas encountered in samples from monitoring
i wells MW-113 and MW-4 with benzene concentrations exceeding the State of California
maximum contaminant level (MCL) of 1 µg/1 in samples collected from the wells
i • MTBE were detected in the ground water samples collected from MW-1B, MW-2B and
MW-4 at a maximum concentration of 12 gg/l, which is below California's primary
Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) of 13 µg/1,but is above the secondary MCL of 5 pg/l
ifor MTBE in drinking water
i5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
i• Based on the results of this investigation, AGE recommends, continued quarterly ground water
monitoring at the site The next monitoring event should be scheduled for July 2002 Additionally,
AGE recommends the preparation of Corrective Action Plan(CAP)as discussed during a meeting
iwith Environmental Health Department personnel on 02 November 2001.
i6.0.
