30 May 2000 <br /> • AGE-NC Pi oject No 96-0254 <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br /> I labeled and placed in a chilled container for transportation under chain-of-custody to McCampbell <br /> Analytical, Inc (MAI), a California Department of Health Services (DHS)-certified analytical <br /> laboratory in Pacheco, California Each sample was analyzed for <br /> a Total peti oleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline and as diesel (TPH-g and TPH-d) by <br /> EPA Method 8015 Modified, <br /> I • Volatile aromatic compounds (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes BTEX) by <br /> EPA Method 8020, with methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE) and <br /> • Oxygenated fuel additive, di-isopropyl ether (DIPS), ethyl tertiary butyl ether (ETBE), <br /> MTBE, tertiary amyl methyl ether (TAME) tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA) by EPA Method <br /> 8260 Modified <br /> I <br /> 3.0 FINDINGS <br /> 3 1 GROUND WATER ELEVATION AND GRADIENT <br /> The depths to ground water from wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-3 through MW-7 on-site and MW-3 <br /> fi om the 2420 Grant Line Road site were measured between 6 62 feet and 9 08 feet below the tops <br /> of well casings <br /> The ground water flow direction during this monitoring event is towards the north with an average <br /> gradient of 0 005 ft/ft in the area of the former UST area and 0 006 feet/feet to the north of the site <br /> Gr ound water elevation contours ai e illustrated on Figure 3 <br /> I3 2 LABORATORY RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> TPH-g was detected in samples collected from wells MW-1 B, MW-4, and MW-7 at concentrations <br /> of 190 micrograms per liter (µg11), 580 gg/l, and 1,100 gg/l, respectively TPH-d was detected in <br /> I the samples collected from wells MW-4 and MW-7 at concentrations of 100 ug/l and 1,100 gg/l, <br /> respectively TPH-g and TPH-d was not detected m the remaining samples <br /> Benzene was detected in samples collected from wells MW-i B,MW-4, and MW-7 at concenti ations <br /> of 78 pg/l, 130 gg/l and 46 µg11, respectively Toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes were detected in <br /> these same wells at concentrations i anging from 1 9 gg/l (toluene in MW-1 B) to 77 gg/l (xylenes In <br /> MW-7) BTEX compounds were not detected in the remaining ground water samples <br /> MTBE was detected in wells MW-1B, MW-2B, MW-4, and MW-7 at concentrations of 8 3 gg/l, <br /> 1 4 4g11, 2 8 gg/l and 2 1 gg/l, respectively No other fuel oxygenates were detected in any of the <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc <br />
