i SITE CONTAMINATION WORK PLAN <br /> Curtiss Pontiac-Cadillac-GMC, Inc. <br /> 2450 Toste Road <br /> Tracy, California <br /> February 1995 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with the request of Mr Joe Toste, property owner, Geological Audit Services, <br /> Inc (GeoAudit) has prepared this Site Contamination Woik Plan foi the drilling of four soil <br /> borings at 2450 Taste Road in Tracy, Califoinia (the site) Two groundwater samples will <br /> be collected via Hydropunch and at least one of the borings will be completed as a <br /> groundwater monitoring well The site location is illustrated on Figure 1 A plan of the site <br /> is illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> 2.0 BACKGROUND <br /> 2.1 Site Location <br /> The site is located in a business/agricultural area of western Tracy, California, in San <br /> Joaquin County (Figure 1) The property is located in a highway-retail business <br /> development owned by Mr Joe Toste, Jr A new/used car sales lot is located on the <br /> property Two large structures, a showroom office complex and a auto detailing/storage <br /> shop, are located on the property The eastern edge of the property lies adjacent to Grant <br /> Line Gas and Food, an underground storage tank (UST) site currently undergoing impacted <br /> soil and groundwater assessment <br /> 2.2 Underground Storage Tank Removal <br /> It is our understanding that three (3) underground storage tanks (USTs), dispensers and <br /> piping were removed from the site on July 31, 1991 The removal was witnessed by a <br /> representative of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health <br /> Division (PHS/EHD) Six soil samples weie collected from the sidewalls of the excavation <br /> on July 31, 1991 Because groundwater was encountered in the excavation at a depth of <br /> approximately six feet, no floor samples weie collected However, one gzab groundwater <br /> sample was collected One sample was also collected beneath the piping/dispenser area <br /> All soil samples were collected at depths of five feet The samples were analyzed for total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH as gasoline), volatile aromatics (BTE&X), lead and ethylene <br /> .
