Tank Assessment Page Tank Name: Cone Bottom WAV Tank
Tank ages: Purchased new in 2016.
Remaining service life: Estimated 20 years.
`Wank Construction.-
Shape.-
onstruction:
Shape: Cylindrical, wne bottom
Orientation Vertical_
Location Above Ground.
Material of Construction: High Dc.-nsity Linear Polyethylene
Thickness: 0.37" tntasured 6" below the top of the tank, using an ultrasonic gage. Alt tank thickness
measurements were -made by a technician with 20 yrs. experience using an ultrasonic gage to measure
thickness of DOT cargo tanks for the Highway patrol. The gage used in this case was a TM8810 with 5
MHz 8mm dtial element probe.
lining material and thickness: NA
Corrosion protection, equipment: NA.
Structural support: Steel support stand for cone bottom tank.
Other identifying features: Seamless, One Piece Construction, Natural, rotationally molded
Equipped with level control to prevent overflow (stops feed on high level).
Piping and ancillary Nwprr=ent (pumps):
Piping Material of Construction. Poly Vinyl Chloride (1' VC).
Piping Diameter: 3 irL
Pump location: within secondary containment area.
Pump type/capacity: hose pump - 40 gpm
Peed pipes in 90 ft. long impervious trench from food grade wash rack, and in cont. area from chemical
wash rack, arc visually monitored while system is in operation. In addition, the impervious trench is
equipped with a level indicator at the low point to detect leaks, as are the pre -neutralizer (area 1) and
final neutralizer areas, All pipes are hydrostatically tested at 6 psi semi-annually.
Material Storage
Materials and characteristics- Wastewater with pH between 1 and 13.
Specific Gravity: approx i
Operating Capacity-. 7400 gallons.
Chemical compatibility findings: The materials identified above are compatible for contact with or proximity
to the equipment, tank or tank system in this assessment_ Initials. l' ' L.
visual Inspection:
Tank parameters at time of inspection: three in use.
Acute visual evidence of leaks: none.
Condition of interior surface: good_
Condition of exterior surface: good.
Condition of norzles, flanges, fittings at tank: good.
Condition of piping: good.
Vimml Inspection findings: A visual inspection of the tank and its affiiated pumps, piping and ancillary
equipment did not reveal signs of leaks, corrosion, weld cracks or breaks, or scrapes in protective coating which
may cause a release from the tank system. A description of all discrepancies noted during the visual inspection
is included with this report. Initials. (;'_
California Tank Lines, inc. Wastewater Processing Tanks (3)
