The four wells will be located in the corners of the tank <br /> cavity excavation The wells will be installed to a depth of 14 ft bgs and consist of <br /> slotted PVC pipe. The wells will allow for future extraction of ground water from the <br /> tank cavity The space in the tank cavity excavation surrounding the USTs and wells will <br /> be backfilled with pea gravel <br /> 5 S Installation of Vault Boxes and Remediation Piping <br /> ARCO plans to implement a vapor extraction and ground water treatment system to <br /> remediate the petroleum hydrocarbons in the soil and ground water at the Site Brown <br /> and Caldwell Consultants is in the process of designing a soil and ground water <br /> remediation system for the Site. To reduce future trenching across the Site, vault boxes <br /> and subsurface piping associated with the remediation system will be installed <br /> concurrently with backfilling the former product tanks and piping <br /> Vault boxes will be installed over existing wells and at the proposed locations of future <br /> wells Piping and conduits for vapor extraction, ground water recovery, and air sparging <br /> will be installed from the vault boxes to the proposed remediation compound location. <br /> The piping will allow for connection of the wells to treatment systems in the future. <br /> i <br /> 7 Doc #A159W0115 <br />
