Interim remedial action <br /> consisted of pumping 1,500 gallons of groundwater and free product from the UST <br /> excavation on November 7, 1995 and transporting under hazardous waste manifest by <br /> Erickson,Inc.to Romie Chemical of Palo Alto,CA for treatment/disposal. Copies of all <br /> law'"WWOMiho an modwt A oanwd"atom dead Neer 10, <br /> 1995 was written by Touchstone Developments to describe preliminary site assessment,soil <br /> and groundwater investigation,and verification monitoring. <br /> On November 13, 1995 additional excavation of soil to accommodate the installation of new <br /> UST's will be performed. Any hydrocarbon-impacted soil from this location will be <br /> stockpiled,sampled,and disposed of at BFI's Ox Mountain facility. <br /> (8) The method of cleanup implemented to date has been limited to the removal of <br /> hydrocarbon impacted fill material that was associated with the former UST pit and the <br /> removal of 1,500 gallons of floating product and groundwater. <br /> A written report describing the soil and groundwater results from the UST removal <br /> operations will be submitted within 45 days from the end of those field activities. <br /> A timeline for future site assessment,investigation,verification monitoring and reporting has <br /> been provided in Touchstone's corrective action workplan dated,November 10, 1995.These <br /> activities will commence within one week from receiving approval from San Joaquin County. <br /> The report describing site investigation findings will be submitted to San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services within forty five days upon completion of all associated field work. <br /> Upon review of this report,a workplan for further investigation or a plan for corrective <br /> action will be submitted within ninety days. Further cleanup activities will be determined <br /> upon review of future site investigation results. Once the need for further cleanup has been <br /> determined,a proposal de scribi g the mcom mended WVoadure will be submitted to San <br /> Joaquin Co ►'PUlYfic Health Services. <br /> (9) A total of approximately five hundred cubic yards of soil were stockpiled at the subject site. <br /> These soils were generated during the removal of all UST's and piping on November 7, <br /> 1995. All stockpiled soil was sampled by Touchstone Developments according to those <br /> protocol established by BFI Landfill to meet acceptance criteria at their Ox Mountain facility. <br /> Once soils have been transported copies of all manifests will be forwarded to your agency. <br /> As an interim remedial measure,there were 1,500 gallons of groundwater and floating <br /> product pumped from the former UST excavation.This was transported as a hazardous waste <br /> under manifest by Erickson,Inc. to Romic Chemical in Palo Alto,CA A copy of the <br /> manifest is attached. <br /> (10)All new underground storage tanks and lines are being installed under permit by San <br /> Joaquin County Public Health Services. <br />
