A46 LOCATION AND STATUS OF FORMER WATER SUPPLY WELL <br /> Record of a former water supply well located toward the northeast corner of the <br /> subject property was discovered by the SJCDPHS Unocal was requested to locate <br /> ' the well and determine its status On October 29, 1993 the top of the water supply <br /> well was discovered approximately 2 5 feet bgs at the location illustrated in Figure 3 <br /> ' The well was constructed with a 6-inch diameter steel casing and was observed by <br /> Mr Harlan Knoll of the SJCDPHS to have been satisfactorily abandoned with a <br /> icement filling of the well annulus <br /> ' 47 EXCAVATED SOIL STOCKPILES <br /> ' As a result of the demolition and escavation activities at the site, approximately 1836 <br /> cubic yards of soil were stockpiled at the site and covered with visqueen The <br /> ' stockpiled soils were segragated into separate piles based on the potential for <br /> containing either gasoline, waste oil, or hydraulic fluid The stockpiles were sampled <br /> for the parameters of concern in order to characterize them for disposal at a Class III <br /> landfill All soils were transported by Dillard Trucking, Inc (Byron, California) 1728 <br /> cubic yards of soil were disposed at the Ferns Browning Industries Vasco Road <br /> Sanitary Landfill located in Livermore, California 108 cubic yards of soil were <br /> disposed in Forward incorporated Landfill located in Manteca, California The non- <br /> hazardous waste manifests, the laboratory analytical reports, and the Chain-of- <br /> Custody documents for the stockpile soil samples are presented in the Mrttelhauser <br /> letter entitled Tank and Stockpile Soil Disposal for the subject site dated <br /> ' March 18, 1994 <br /> ' 50 INSTALLATION OF WELL MW-3A <br /> ' Well MW-3A was installed to replace well MW-3 which was abandoned prior to the <br /> ' removal and over-excavation of the gasoline USTs Details of the installation of well <br /> ittelhauser <br /> C o R P O R A f O N <br /> P216BR008 wp(03184) 7 <br />
