' EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This report was prepared by Mittelhauser Corporation (Mittelhauser) to document the
remediation of soils and the replacement of a monitoring well at the former Unocal
' Corporation (Unocal) service station #6348 located in the City of Tracy, California
' Between December 1992 and January 1993 the underground Storage Tanks (USTs)
and associated piping were removed from the site, the station building, service bays
' and pump islands were demolished and removed, and hydrocarbon-affected soil was
excavated and removed from the site The remediation activities were conducted in
accordance with Mittelhauser's Final Remedial Plan for the site dated September
1992
' With the removal of the contaminated soils, the exposure risk has been reduced to
below levels of environmental concern Unocal formally petitions the San Joaquin
County Health Department for no further action for sods The groundwater at the site
will continue to be monitored and sampled during 1994 to document the effect of the
remediation After four quarters of groundwater sampling and analysis, the site
groundwater conditions should be reevaluated to determine the need for continued
monitoring and sampling
1
r
Aiffelhauser
i 0 ¢ v 0 R n T 1 0 N
P216DR008 wpf031941 ES-1
