Final Remedial Plan E-1 September 1992
3788 Tracy Boulevard Rev. : D1
Tracy, California P1745R005.WP
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
I3788 Tracy Boulevard
Tracy, San Joaquin County, California
The attached Draft Final Remedial Plan FRP addresses
' removal of underground storage tanks and remediation of
approximately 610 cubic yards of oil- and gasoline-bearing soil at
the above-referenced location.
' BACKGROUND
The property at 3788 Tracy Boulevard in Tracy, San
Joaquin County, California, was the site of a gasoline service
station from 1972 until the end of March 1992 . The site is
presently unoccupied, and the property is fenced. The facilities
consist of a metal and stone building containing space for an
office and three service bays, two pump islands with associated
canopy, two 10, 000-gallon underground gasoline storage tanks, and
' small sheds.
IOn June 18, 1990, a 550-gallon underground waste-oil
storage tank was removed. The steel tank was found to have holes
and to have leaked (Kaprealian Engineering Company Report,
9/24/90) . An Unauthorized Release Report was filed with the
California Water Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region.
Following tank removal, an excavation that measured 9'
wide, 121 long, and 14 .5' deep was made to remove oil-contaminated
soil. Not all oil-contaminated soil was removed, due to the
proximity of the gasoline storage tanks. The excavation was
backfilled with pea gravel.
