SITE CLOSURE REPORT <br /> GENERAL MILLS, INC. <br />. 2000 WEST TURNER ROAD <br /> LODI, CALIFORNIA <br /> DELTA PROJECT NO. D092-708 <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Delta Environmental Consultants, Inc (Delta), has been authorized by General Mills Incorporated <br /> (General Mills) to conduct environmental hydrogeologic investigative work and assessment of the former <br /> underground fuel oil tank location at the General Mills facility located at 2000 West Turner Road, Lodi, <br /> San Joaquin County, California. The location of the site is shown in Figure 1 and site features are shown <br /> in Figure 2 <br /> The environmental investigations have been conducted at the request of the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Division(County)to assess the extent of petroleum constituents in soil and possible <br /> dissolved hydrocarbons in ground water beneath the former tank location The assessment performed at <br /> the site has been performed in order to obtain regulatory closure <br /> The purpose of this report is to present data and information collected during environmental investigations <br /> at the site to request closure as outlined in Appendix B of the Tri-Regional Board Statf Recommendations <br /> For Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation of Underground Tank Sites, dated March 1, 1994 <br /> CP <br /> 2.0 PRO CT BACKGROUND INFORMATION <br /> 2 1 Site Descri tion <br /> The project site is located at the southwest corner of Turner Road and Mills Avenue as shown on <br /> Figure 2 It is at an elevation of approximately 45 feet above mean sea level The topography in the <br /> area is generally flat with a slight elevation increase in the vicinity of the site to the northeast Lodi <br /> Municipal Lake Park is located approximately 1,200 feet northeast of the former underground tank <br /> location This park is formed from the Mokelumne River, which is located approximately one half mile <br /> north of the site (Figure 1) <br /> 2 2 Site History <br /> In 1947 or 1948, two 5,000 gallon underground fuel oil tanks were installed at the location shown in <br /> . Figures 2 and 3 In 1973 General Mills replaced these tanks with three 12,000 gallon underground <br /> RPT137 SJS <br />
