RE2C€EST FOR SITE CL(7SURE <br /> Gcncral Mi13s Facnlsty <br /> ::OW West Turner Road <br /> Lodi, CaUforrna <br /> Dcam Project No 30-92-708 <br /> Page 2 <br /> 15 tees below the ground surface Next, Water Work of Escalon, California, collected a total of nine <br /> soil samples trom the floor of the tank basin and submitted them to a certified laboratory for analyses of <br /> benzene. toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes (BTEX), and high boiling point hydrocaroons (TPH as diesel <br /> No 6) Benzene was not detected in these soil samples, however, concentrations of TPH as diesel No 6 <br /> ranged rrom not detected to 320 parts per million (ppm) The approximate soil sample locations are <br /> presented of Figure 3 and the laboratory analyses results are presented In Table 1. <br /> 2.4 Subsurface Investigation, Mav 1992 <br /> On May 12, 1992, three soil borings were advanced to 50 reet below the surface and completea as ground <br /> water morutoring wells ti1W-1, MW-2, and MW-3 The locations or the ;round water monitoring wells <br /> are shown in Figure 4 <br /> SOLI samples were collected at 5-foot intervals from borings MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3 Soni types <br /> encountered beneath the site consisted predominantly of poorly ,graded sand with .;ravel, clay, and silt, <br /> well graded sand with silt, and sandy lean clay Field screening of the soil samples was thorough and <br /> included both visual inspections and analyses for the presence of organic vapors with an hNu <br /> photo ionization detector (PID) Staining indicative of fuel contaminated soils was not present in the soil <br /> samples inspected_ Organic vapors in the sort samples were not detected with the PID <br /> The sod samples collected from 35 feet beneath the surface in borings MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3-1 were <br /> submitted to a certified laboratory for analyses of BTEX and TPH as diesel No. 6. BTEX or TPH as <br /> diesel No 6 were not detected in the soil samples The soil sample results are presented in Taole 2. The <br /> results of Delta's subsurface investigation are presented in a report dated June 9, 1992. <br /> 2.5 Ouarteriv Ground Water Monitoring-, May 1992 through March 1993 <br /> Ground water monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3 have been monitored and sampled four tunes <br /> since installation in May 1992 The ground water table has been measured at the site between <br /> approximately 39 and 42 feet beneath the surface. Ground water table measurements recorded to date <br /> are compiled to Table 3. Ground water table measurements collected on March 23, 1993, were used to <br /> RP'r076 TA <br />
