QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING AND SAMPLING REVIEW
4614 W . TURNER RD , LODI
PAGE 2
In the fail of 1992 , a groundwater treatment system was installed
in one of the monitoring wells A report on the installation of
this system is currently being submitted to San Joaquin Public
Health Services and to Central Valley Regional Water Quality
Control Board.
Groundwater Monitoring and Sampling
Results from earlier quarterly samplings have been submitted in
Previous reports . The five quarterly samplings covered in this
report were conducted by Caltest Analytical Laboratories . The
results of the findings are summarized in the following sections .
Groundwater levels from each quarter are presented in Table 1 .
Analytical results from each quarter are presented in Table 2 .
Analytical results from each monitoring well are presented in
Table 3 Copies of the laboratory reports are presented in
Attachment I
THIRD QUARTER 1992 - Sampled on July 24 , 1992 :
Groundwater levels and samples were obtained from 7 monitoring
wells at the site . Monitoring Wells 4 and 5 have never shown
signs of contamination, and were not tested during this round of
sampling . MW-9 was damaged in 1990 and cannot be sampled.
Groundwater levels varied from 21 61 to 23 , 46 feet below the
surface , historically very low due to the drought .
Laboratory analyses indicate that benzene was present in MW-1
( 91 . 0 ug/L) , MW-3 ( 21 0 ug/L ) . TPHg was detected in MW-1 ( 600
ug/L Trace amounts of toluene and xylene were detected in MW-2 .
MW-1 and MW-3 traditionally show detectable levels of
contaminants MW-2 is traditionally clean, quarterly monitoring
of MW-2 will continue to detect any trend
FOURTH QUARTER 1992 - Sampled on October 23 , 1992
i
Groundwater levels and samples were obtained from 5 monitoring
wells at the site . MW-1 was converted into an extraction well
for the newly installed groundwater treatment system; information
on MW-1 samples are contained in a separate Groundwater Treatment
Report MW--4 and MW-5 have never show signs of contamination,
and were not tested during this round of sampling . MW-8 , located
in our bottling room, was inaccessible due to bottling
operations . MW-9 is inoperable
