chest, and cooled to 4°C The samples and accompanying chain-of-custody <br /> documentation will be delivered to a California State certified analytical laboratory <br /> CERTIFIED LABORATORY ANALYSES OF SOIL AND WATER SAMPLES <br /> A minimum of five soil samples will be selected from each monitor well boring for <br /> analysis by a certified analytical laboratory All hydropunch groundwater samples <br /> collected will be analyzed by a certified analytical laboratory The soil and groundwater <br /> samples will be analyzed for concentrations of TPH-G using EPA method 8015M, BTEX <br /> and MTBE using EPA method 8020 and total lead using EPA method 6010 The soil and <br /> groundwater samples exhibiting the highest MTBE concentrations by EPA method 8020 <br /> will also be will also be analyzed for MTBE by EPA method 8260 If necessary, <br /> additional soil samples from a soil boring will be analyzed to bracket the vertical extent <br /> of soil contamination in the borehole <br /> DISPOSITION OF SOIL CUTTINGS AND WASTE WATER <br /> All soil cuttings generated from the drilling of the monitor wells will be stored on and <br /> covered with 6-ml polyethylene sheeting to prevent runoff or leaching to the <br /> uncontaminated soil The stockpiled soil will be stored on-site A composite soil sample <br /> will be collected from four locations within the soil pile and labeled and preserved as <br /> described for the soil boring samples The composite sample will be analyzed for the <br /> constituents listed in the section using those same laboratory methods The final <br /> idisposition of the cuttings will be determined following the receipt of certified analytical <br /> laboratory results <br /> Rinse water from the washing of the augers and sampling equipment will be stored on- <br /> site in labeled 17H 55 gallon DOT approved drums The rinse water will be transported <br /> to the Evergreen Inc recycling facility under a non-hazardous waste manifest along with <br /> the wastewater generated by quarterly groundwater monitoring <br /> COMPLETION OF MONITOR WELLS <br /> Monitor wells completed in only the upper zone (0-50 feet bgs) will be completed from <br /> 20-40 feet bgs with machine slotted SCH 40 TriLock 2 inch diameter PVC screen (0 01) <br /> The well will be completed to surface with blank SCH 40 TnLock 2 inch diameter PVC <br /> The sand envelope will consist of 42116 Lapis Lustre sand and will be positioned from <br /> the base of the well to 0 5 feet above the top of the slotted casing The sand envelope <br /> will be sealed on top with a 1-foot layer of hydrated bentonite pellets Neat cement (with <br /> less than 5% bentonite) will be used to seal the annular space from the top of the <br /> bentonite seal to surface A locking thermos cap will be used to seal the casing orifice A <br /> steel traffic box fitted with a locking system and well ID tag will be set in concrete to <br /> protect the exposed well casing <br /> 6 ARC PUMP -WKPLN- 9128199 <br />
