Hunter & Associates <br /> September, 1995 <br /> PURPOSE OF REPORT <br /> In June, 1987, a 500 gallon UST which had been used for storing <br /> gasoline was removed from the property A soil sample taken from <br /> beneath the removed tank revealed measureable amounts of benzene, <br /> toluene, xylene, & TVPH. The hole was filled with clean material, <br /> and the removed spoil was stored on site & covered with plastic <br /> TABLE I summarizes the laboratory results of that sample . <br /> Correspondence from the San Joaquin County EHD in March, 1994 <br /> • notified the owners that the site could not be recommended for <br /> final closure and had been placed on the San Joaquin County EHD <br /> contaminated site list . A copy of that document is attached as <br /> EXHIBIT A. <br /> In November, 1994, the San Joaquin County EHD notified the owners <br /> that additional site investigation would be required in order to <br /> remain in compliance with the SWRCB cleanup fund. Refer to <br /> EXHIBIT B for a copy of that letter On February 15, 1995, Wm <br /> J. Hunter & Associates, (WJH, ) submitted a workplan to place one <br /> (1) groundwater monitoring well on the property That workplan <br /> was not accepted by the County EHD, and a workplan addendum was <br /> submitted on April 3, 1995 for placing three (3) wells on the <br /> site. This report covers the results of that work <br /> PROPERTY LOCATION <br /> The site is located in the southwest part of the city of <br /> Stockton, about 2 blocks north of Charter Way, and dust to the <br /> west of Center Street I-5 is approximately 1/2 mile to the <br /> west, and the new crosstown freeway is slightly less than 1 mile <br /> to the north. The property has been used for the sale & repair <br /> of drainage & irrigation pumps for many years, no residences are <br /> located on the site.
