STATE OF CALIFORNIA CERTIFIED LABORATORY <br /> Western Geo-Engineers contracted Kiff Analytical LLC, 2795 2nd Street, Suite 300, <br /> Davis, California 95616 (650) 266-4563 (4 2236) to perform the necessary analysis of the <br /> water/soil samples Kiff uses EPA method 8260B Soil and water samples were analyzed <br /> for total petroleum hydrocarbons, gasoline range (TPHg), Benzene, Toluene, Ethyl <br /> benzene and Xylenes (BTEX), the five oxygenates, MtBE, TBA, DIPE, ETBE and <br /> TAME and lead scavengers 1,2 DCA and 1,2 EDB <br /> HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN <br /> A site/fob specific Health and Safety Plan (H&SP) was developed for the drilling and <br /> sampling work At the start of any onsite work the H&SP was presented and reviewed <br /> The H&SP was on site for review and reference during fob activities pertaining to this <br /> work plan, see Appendix B <br /> ENCROACHMENT AND PERMITS <br /> One of the direct push boring (T3-4) was in the City of Stockton right of way An <br /> encroachment permit was required Two drilling permits were also necessary, one for the <br /> onsite direct push/auger borings and one for the offsite City of Stockton right of way <br /> boring The maximum depth of this investigation is 94 feet below the surface, see <br /> • Appendix B <br /> NOTIFICATIONS <br /> A 48-hour notice was given to all concerned parties, and Underground Service Alert was <br /> notified prior to commencing any probing or drilling activities, see Appendix B <br /> EXCAVATED WELL MATERIALS AND FLUIDS <br /> All materials excavated during the drilling/sampling and boring destruction were placed <br /> into 17H 55 gallon drums and profiled into Forward Landfill for disposal Tim Manley <br /> Trucking loaded and transported the drummed soil to Forward Landfill on May 15, 2006 <br /> All fluids generated by the drilling/sampling and boring destruction procedures were <br /> placed into 55-gallon drums The drummed fluids were transferred to Western Geo- <br /> Engineers 350 gallon tank and transported to InStrat of Rio Vista for disposal on April <br /> 24, 2006 and June 13, 2006 <br /> BORE HOLE DESTRUCTION <br /> At completion of the direct push and auger core borings, one inch tremae pipe was placed <br /> in the boring for later use to direct the placement of neat cement for destruction Once all <br /> 6 ARC Pump, ASSESSMENT 2006 <br />
