S0 JOA U 1 Environmental Health Department <br /> U ; i y <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> IMPERIAL WESTERN PRODUCTS 20500 S HOLLY DR,TRACY May 13, 2020 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following were observed in the hazardous waste storage area: <br /> -One white used oil pan observed with approximately one inch of used oil accumulating. <br /> -Two black used oil pans observed with approximately one inch of used oil accumulating inside. <br /> -One green used oil pan observed with approximately one inch of used oil accumulating inside. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately clean the used oil pans and manage the waste according to Title 22 California <br /> Code of Regulations for hazardous waste. Submit a statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department describing the storage and final disposition of the cleaned up waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 303 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to maintain all communication or alarm systems, spill control, or decontamination <br /> equipment. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following were observed in the hazardous waste storage area: <br /> -Secondary containment for one 55-gallon drum reserved for used oil observed with approximately one inch of used <br /> oil accumulating. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:All facility spill control equipment shall be maintained as necessary to assure its proper <br /> operation in time of emergency. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Bring the Secondary containment for one 55-gallon drum reserved for used oil into proper <br /> working order by removing the liquid in the secondary containment and placing in the proper waste container. <br /> Provide a corrective action statement to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> An inspection checklist was provided to the facility operator on the day of inspection.
