eFUEL, LLC

7
The product line transitions back to 2” single walled threaded pipe and continues under the
dock to the dispensers.

Manual shut off valves were observed in the following locations along the pipeline from the
tank to the dispensers:
1. On top of the tank.
2. At the transition prior to entering into the 4” Fiberglass Secondary Containment.
3. At the transition exiting the 4” Fiberglass Secondary Containment when the product
line converts to a rubber hose.
4. At the transition on the end of the dock when the rubber hose transitions back to 2”
steel threaded pipe.
The 2” single walled threaded product pipeline was observed to have coating failure on the
underside of the piping going from the tank across the grass toward the building.

Ancillary Features:
Solenoid Valve
One 2” SNAP-TITE / Jefferson Solenoid Valve combatible with Class 1, Division 1 use was
observed on the product line downstream from the Red Jacket Pump.

Pressure Relief Valve
One Pressure Relief Valve was observed downstream on the product line from the
solenoid valve to allow fuel to return to the tank through the line pressure port on the
Red Jacket Pump.

Check Valve
One 3” check valve was observed on the 3” product fill line running from the fill box to
the 6,000 gallon tank.

Venting:
Primary Vent
The 6,000 gallon regular gasoline compartment is equipped with a primary 2” vent tube with an
EVR Approved vent cap and extended to approximately 12’ above the ground level.
Primary Emergency Vent
The weighted emergency vent has a vent capacity with a screen of 503,517 SCFH (Standard
Cubic Feet per Hour) and is consistent with the industry standard. At the time of inspection, the
weighted vent was exercised and lifted as expected.

Secondary Containment:
Interstitial Monitoring:
At the time of inspection, the liquid monitoring sensor was removed. The secondary space was
observed to be clear of liquids at the time of inspection and the sensor was replaced. After the
inspection, the Veeder-Root Alarm was tested and showed All Functions Normal (the System
Status Report printout is documented in the Appendix).
