eFUEL, LLC

8
Secondary Containment Emergency Vent:
The weighted emergency vent for the secondary compartment is a Morrison Bros, UL Listed
weighted vent for Flammable and Combustible Liquids Tank Accessory and has a vent capacity
of 503,517 SCFH (Standard Cubic Feet per Hour) and is sized equal to the vent capacity of the
largest emergency vent (recommended by Morrison Brothers). The vent was observed to have
been recently replaced. At the time of inspection, the weighted emergency vent for the
secondary interstitial space of the tank was exercised and lifted as expected.

Veeder-Root
The fueling system is monitored by a VEEDED -ROOT TLS-300C which monitors and calculates
the following items:
• Fuel volume in both tanks.
• Ullage in both tanks.
• 90% ullage in both tanks.
• Height of fuel in both tanks.
• Water volume in both tanks.
• Water level in both tanks.
• Temperature inside both tanks.
• Presence of liquid in the interstitial space.
• Presense of liquid in the secondary piping for the product lines going through the levy.

At the time of inspection on 11/5/2020, the VEEDER-ROOT system alarm was tested. All
functions were observed to have tested as normal. No Alarm or Warning lights were observed
to be flashing before or after the alarm / system was tested. The sensor located in the
interstitial space was removed and observed to be clear of liquid prior to the test. The sensor
was replaced and the system tested.

3.3. Recommended Actions for Continued Fuel Storage Tank Use
3.3.1. Ensure the interstitial space is clear of water at all times to prevent internal
corrosion from forming. This will increase the life of the tank.
3.3.2. Contact your petroleum contractor about adding secondary containment to the
product lines running under the dock to the two gasoline dispensers. Currently
the secondary containment ends at the levy where the product lines transition to
rubber hoses to allow for the dock to move up and down with the water level.
3.3.3. Contact your petroleum contractor about adding under dispenser containment
pans below the two fuel dispensers. Currently the sheer valves and all internal
dispenser components are directly over the water.
3.3.4. Contact your petroleum contractor to discuss adding clock gauges on both fuel
tanks and an outside audible / visual alarm to alert the fuel hauler on the level of
the tanks while filling.
3.3.5. Test the sensors in the secondary containment for the piping running through the
levy.
