<br /> OF SAN JOAQUIN, RELATIVE TO SECTIONS 9-3083 . 093, 9-3083 . 095,
<br /> 9-3083 . 097 , 9-3233 , 9-4013, 9-4110, 9-4209, 9--5011 , 9-5109, 9-5139,
<br /> 9-5169, 9-5209, 9-5259 , 9-5309, 9-5409, 9-5509, 9-5609 , 9-9302 ,
<br /> 9-9410, 9-9411 ; CONCERNING DEFINITIONS FOR FENCES, SPECIAL FENCE
<br /> REQUIREMENTS, FENCE REGULATIONS FOR THE EA, GA, I-PA, RR, RA, R1 , R2 ,
<br /> R3, AND R4 ZONES, ELIMINATION OF STANDARDS OF DESIGN-FENCING, AND
<br /> FENCE PLANS .
<br /> THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN ORDAINS AS
<br /> FOLLOWS :
<br /> SECTION 1 Section 9-3083 . 093 is hereby added to Chapter 2 ,
<br /> Division 3, Title 9, of the San Joaquin County Ordinance Code to read
<br /> as follows:
<br /> SECTION 9-3083 .093. FENCE. "Fence" means a wall or barrier
<br /> constructed of boards, masonry, wire, or any other material for
<br /> the purpose of enclosing space or separating parcels of land The
<br /> term "fence" does not include retaining walls, but does include
<br /> fence gates and gateposts.
<br /> SECTION 2 Section 9-3083 .095 is hereby added to Chapter 2. ,
<br /> Division 3 , Title 9, of the San Joaquin County Ordinance Code to read
<br /> as follows:
<br /> SECTION 9-3083 .095. FENCE HEIGHT. "Fence height" means that
<br /> the height of any fence shall be determined by measurement from
<br /> the natural or finished grade at the lowest side of the fence. If
<br /> a fence is proposed to be built on top of an earth_ern berm or
<br /> other landscape feature, the maximum fence height shall include
<br /> the height of the berm or landscape feature.
<br /> SECTION 3 Section 9-3083 .097 is hereby added to Chapter 2 ,
<br /> Division 3 , Title 9, of the San Joaquin County Ordinance Code. to read
<br /> as follows:
<br /> SECTION 9-3083 .097 . FENCE, OPEN. "Open fence" means the
<br /> same as "fence" except that materials used in the construction of
<br /> the fence shall afford a clear view between the road or ad "oinin
<br /> properties and the property that is fenced. Materials used to
<br /> build an open _fence may include wire, wood rails, chain link, and
<br /> wrought iron.
<br /> SECTION 4 Section 9-3233, Chapter 4, Division 3, Title 9,
<br /> of the San Joaquin County Ordinance Code is hereby amended to read as
<br /> follows:
<br /> SECTION 9-3233 . SPECIAL FENCE REQUIREMENTS AND CLEAR VIEW OF
<br /> INTERSECTING STREETS .
<br /> _(a) Noise Attenuation Walls. Walls, fences, berms, and or
<br /> landscaping for the purpose of noise attenuation may be
