PC: 6-3-93
GP-93-3/ZR-93-4
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Planning Commission:
1. Approve the Negative Declaration;
2. Forward General Plan Amendment Application No. GP-93-3 to the Board of Supervisors with
a recommendation for approval based upon the 'Basis for General Plan Amendment'
contained in the staff report; and
3. Forward Zone Reclassification Application No ZR-93-4 to the Board of Supervisors with a
recommendation for approval based upon the*Bases for Zone Reclassification' contained in
the staff report.
BASIS FOR GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT
1. The internal consistency of the General Plan is maintained in the adoption of the amendment.
• This determination can be made because the proposal is consistent with the Plan's
policies regarding locational criteria.
BASES FOR ZONE RECLASSIFICATION
1. The proposed zone districts are consistent with the General Plan and any Specific Plan.
• This determination can be made because the proposal is consistent with Table VII-1
of Volume I, Implementing Zones for General Plan Land Use Designations.
2. The proposed zone district is reasonable and beneficial at this time.
• This determination can be made because the proposal is recognizing existing
conditions and implementing the policies of the Plan.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
These General Plan Amendment and Zone Reclassification applications are the third part of an
'adjustment' effort to correct minor mapping errors and omissions discovered as part of implementing the
General Plan. Detailed descriptions of specific areas are discussed in the Project Analysis section of this
report.
-7-
