<br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 9 OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE COUNTY OF SAN
<br /> JOAQUIN, RELATIVE TO CHAPTERS 9-110, 9-115, 9-235, 9-310, 9-315, 9-405, 9-505, 9-610, 9-851,
<br /> 9-896, 9-1015, 9-1020, 9-1405, 9-1605, 9-1705, 9-1710, 9-1905, AND 9-1920; CONCERNING
<br /> CHANGES IN DEFINITIONS,THE USE CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM,NON-CONFORMITY PROVISIONS,
<br /> RESIDENTIAL ZONES, COMMERCIAL ZONES, INDUSTRIAL ZONES, AGRICULTURAL ZONES,
<br /> AGRICULTURAL EXCAVATION PERMITS,TREE MANAGEMENT PERMITS, PARKING AND LOADING
<br /> REQUIREMENTS, LANDSCAPING REGULATIONS, GRADING AND EXCAVATION PROVISIONS,
<br /> FLOOD HAZARDS, SIGN REGULATIONS, AND ENFORCEMENT REGULATIONS.
<br /> SECTION 1. Chapter 9-110, Division 1, Title 9, of the San Joaquin County Ordinance Code
<br /> is hereby amended by the addition of 'Involuntary abatement' and "voluntary abatement" to the
<br /> definitions to read as follows:
<br /> Abatement, Involuntary. "Involuntary abatement"means the removal of a nuisance as a result
<br /> of an action performed by, under the direction of, or at the Initial expense of the County of
<br /> San Joaquin.
<br /> Abatement, Voluntary. "Voluntary abatement" means the abatement or removal of a violation
<br /> by the owner or designee after notification by the enforcement agency that such violation
<br /> exists and must be abated.
<br /> SECTION 2 Section 9-115.415, Chapter 9-115, Division 1, Title 9, of the San Joaquin County
<br /> Ordinance Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
<br /> Section 9-115.415 Custom Manufacturing. The Custom Manufacturing use type refers to the
<br /> on-site production of goods by hand manufacturing or artistic endeavor which Involves only
<br /> the use of hand tools or small mechanical equipment, and the incidental sale of these goods
<br /> directly to consumers. Typical uses include ceramic studios, candle making shops, and
<br /> custom jewelry manufacturers.
<br /> SECTION 3. Section 9-235.6, Chapter 9-235, Division 2, Title 9, of the San Joaquin County
<br /> Ordinance Code is hereby amended by amending subsection (a)(1) and (a)(5) to read as follows:
<br /> Section 9-235.6 Non-Conforming Use of a Structure. The non-conforming use of a structure
<br /> shall be subject to the provisions of this Section.
<br /> (a) Continuation.
<br /> (1) A structure devoted to a non-conforming use may be enlarged, extended, or
<br /> remodeled subject to Site Approval.
<br /> (5) A building or structure occupied by a nonconforming use which is damaged
<br /> or destroyed by fire, flood,wind, earthquake, or other calamity or act of God
<br /> or the public enemy, may be restored, and the occupancy or use of such
<br /> building, structure, or part thereof to the extent that It existed at the time of
<br /> Ssuch damage or destruction may be continued or resumed, provided that
<br /> �; such restoration Is started within a period of one (1) year and is diligently
<br /> pursued to completion.
