TA-88-10 , VARIOUS REVISIONS
(ALL DISTRICTS )
IT IS RECOMMENDED:
That the Board of Supervisors:
1. Approve the Negative Declaration and instruct the Clerk to file
a Notice of Determination;
2 . Approve Planning Title Text Amendment No. TA-88-10 based on the
"Bases for Recommendation" given in the staff report.
REASON FOR RECOMMENDATION:
The proposed Text Amendment was initiated to make changes to the
Planning Title that are necessary in converting from the existing
agricultural zones to the proposed agricultural zones. Additional
changes were included to reflect the more liberal provisions of State
Map Act Law and to codify into the Planning Title specific Board
directives . In terms of specifics, the Text Amendment would:
1. Permit land within an Agricultural Preserve to be zoned to less
than a 20-acre minimum agricultural zone.
2 . Require the County to file a Notice of Nonrenewal on any parcel
under a Williamson Act contract that is less than five acres in
size and that contains a residence.
3 . Relocate the provisions dealing with historical structures from the
chapter on the GA zone to the chapter titled "Supplementary and
Qualifying Regulations. "
4 . Allow tentative map extensions for a cumulative period of up to
three years.
BOS LETTER PAGE 1
