SECTION 27. Section 9-1020.8, Chapter 9-1020, Division 10, Title 9 of the San Joaquin County <br /> Ordinance Code is hereby amended by deleting Subsections (b), (c), (d), and (e). <br /> SECTION 28. Section 9-1020.9, Chapter 9-1020, Division 10, Title 9 of the San Joaquin County <br /> Ordinance Code is hereby amended by deleting Subsections (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), and (g). <br /> SECTION 29. Section 9-1020.10, Chapter 9-1020, Division 10,Title 9 of the San Joaquin County <br /> Ordinance Code is hereby deleted. <br /> SECTION 30. Chapter 9-1022, Division 10, Title 9 of the San Joaquin County Ordinance Code <br /> is hereby added: <br /> CHAPTER 9-1022 <br /> FENCING AND SCREENING <br /> Sections: <br /> 9-1022.1 Intent <br /> 9-1022.2 General Standards <br /> 9-1022.3 Fencing Standards <br /> 9-1022.4 Screening Standards <br /> 9-1022.5 Noise Attenuation Walls <br /> Section 9-1022.1 Intent. The intent of this Chapter is to prescribe standards for fencing and <br /> screening to protect public security and safety, conserve and protect property, and improve the <br /> general appearance of San Joaquin County. <br /> Section 9-1022.2 General Standards. All fencing and screening shall comply with the provisions <br /> of this Section, unless otherwise specified. <br /> (a) Materials. Fencing and screening shall meet any criteria for sturdiness and construction <br /> established by other County regulations. <br /> (b) Placement. Fences and screens may be constructed along the property line or within the <br /> required yard. <br /> (c) Height Limits in Required Yards. Fencing and screening shall not exceed the height limits <br /> in required yards specified below: <br /> (1) In any required front or street side yards,fencing and screening shall not exceed <br /> three (3) feet in height. <br /> (2) In any required rear or non-street side yard, fencing and screening shall not <br /> exceed seven (7) feet in height. <br /> (d) Height Limits Outside Required Yards. The height of fencing and screening outside <br /> required yards shall not exceed the maximum height limit for structures in the zone in <br /> which the fence is constructed. <br /> (e) Height Measurements. Unless otherwise specified, heights of fences and screens shall <br /> TA-93-1 -7- ORD # <br />
