This review should
include :
1 . The concentration, of septic: tank effluent within a
smaller land area .
2 . The impact of ground disposal and to ground water
quality , both immediate and cumulative .
3 . The suitability of various soils to septic disposal,
particularly since land area would be reduced .
4 . The alternatives to septic disposal in case of septic
system failures on a significant basis to include both
the acquisition of more land area for disposal and the
feasibility of retro-installation of a sewer treatment
plant .
. The provision on a county-wide basis of an approved
facility or site for the disposal of septic tank
pumpings .
The Environmental Health Division suggests that this application
is premature as this issue is to be addressed in the General Plan
revisions by the consultants and would also be a part of the EIR
being written for that review .
Should this application proceed with allowing a "estate type"
zone on septic tanks to a minimum lot size of one acre , San
Joaquin County development policies as stated in Section 9-10100
would have to be addressed on an application by application
bat i S .
f
Administration Clinical Services Environmental Health Public Health Nursing
468-3400 468-3830 468-3420 468-3860
Air Pollution Community Services Laboratory WIC
468-3470 468-3820 468-3460 468-3280
AIDS Information 468-3820
