SUMIDEN WIRE PRODUCTS CORPORATION JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: PC DRAWING MACHINE OPERATOR OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES MUST HAVE THE ABILITIES T READ A MICROMETER, AND A METAL RULER FOR QUALITY CHECKS ON WIRE DIAMETERS, CAST AND SPRING HEIGHT. MUST HAVE THE ABILITIES TO OPERATE A RESISTANCE (BUTT) WELDER TO MAKE WELD JOINTS FROM COIL TO COIL, AND TO REPAIR WIRE BREAKS, ETC. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to smell for hot electrical motors or trouble spots. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and or move up to 10 pound and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to extreme cold, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud. COMMENTS Employees must comply with the Code of Safe Practices and all Company Rules. May be involved in adjusting, handling, loading etc. of RCRA and Non-RCRA Hazardous Waste as required on a periodic nature and will be trained and tested by the Company or an outside source on an annual basis.
