SUMIDEN WIRE PRODUCTS CORPORATION <br /> JOB DESCRIPTION <br /> JOB TITLE: PC STRANDING MACHINE OPERATOR <br /> EXEMPT: No <br /> SALARY LEVEL: HOURLY <br /> SHIFT: AS ASSIGNED <br /> LOCATION: STOCKTON <br /> EMPLOYEE: <br /> REPORTS TO: SHIFT SUPERVISOR <br /> PREPARED BY: WAYNE MANNOR DATE: 6-12-96 <br /> APPROVED BY: WILLIAM PALMER REVISED: by wm DATE: 8-7-06 <br /> SUMMARY: Operates and Tends one or more High Carbon Steel Wire Stranding Machines, to <br /> convert High Carbon Steel Wire into High Carbon Steel Strand. <br /> ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, however, other duties may <br /> be assigned. <br /> SAFETY - QUALITY - COST - DELIVERY <br /> Wear Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, Gloves, Ear Protection, and all other safety gear that <br /> may be required. <br /> Uses Bolt Cutters, Resistance Welder, Grinder, Overhead Bridge Crane, Hammer, Adjustable <br /> Wrench, Pliers, Spray Paint, Steel Rule, Micrometer, and other hand tools. <br /> Lifts empty or full spools using hoist and loads into or un-loads from Stranding Machine <br /> Welds Wire together and starts machine, and observes operation. <br /> Inspects and measures strand to verify conformance to specifications. <br /> Moves machine controls and guides to adjust machine. <br /> Replaces worn machine accessories i.e.. Worn wire guide dies, spool brake pads, broken bows <br /> Sets up next load of spools for on-coming shift or next spool change when Strander stops. <br /> Completes, before shift ends, all check sheets, Daily Shift Reports, and any other reports <br /> that are required. <br /> Keeps Work Area Clean at all times. This includes daily cleaning of the Strander, sweeping <br /> from the Take-Up area to South Wall on both sides of machine. Sweeping isles, remove scrap <br /> wires to scrap bins, striping spools of scrap wire and put on wire stands. -- (WORK AREA <br /> TO BE CLEAN FOR THE NEXT ON-COMING SHIFT) <br />
