SUMIDEN WIRE PRODUCTS CORPORATION <br /> JOB DESCRIPTION <br /> JOB TITLE: SHIPPING / RECEIVING/ PACKAGING OPERATOR <br /> EXEMPT: No <br /> SALARY LEVEL: HOURLY <br /> SHIFT: AS ASSIGNED <br /> LOCATION: STOCKTON <br /> EMPLOYEE: <br /> REPORTS TO: SHIPPING SUPERVISOR <br /> PREPARED BY: WAYNE MANNOR DATE: 6-12-96 <br /> APPROVED BY: WILLIAM PALMER REVISED: by wm DATE: 8-7-06 <br /> SUMMARY <br /> Loads trucks, unloads trucks, and moves rod and materials within or near the plant, yard, or <br /> work site, verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares packs <br /> and other items for shipment <br /> ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> Include the following, however, other duties may be assigned. <br /> SAFETY - QUALITY - COST - DELIVERY <br /> Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and <br /> outgoing shipments to verify information against bills or lading, invoices, orders, packaging <br /> lists or other records. <br /> From time to time, may determine method of shipment. <br /> Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on <br /> cartons, wraps packs of strand or wire to customer specification in preparation for shipment, <br /> writes pack numbers, heat numbers, weight etc. on packs or items for shipment. <br /> Nails covers on wooden crates and binds containers and packs with metal tape or strapping <br /> Stamps, Stencils, or Glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or <br /> containers. <br /> Loads trucks and containers of shipment <br /> Posts weights and shipping charges. <br />
