• Identify and label contents of all drums throughout our facility.
• Collect anti-freeze separately and dispose of through Asbury Environmental (similar to
waste oil). Containers are to be kept air tight when not being filled or emptied.
• Items specific to the shop area:
Dispose of small metal grindings properly. Less than 100 microns is disposed of in
the solid waste disposal bin in the mechanic's shop.
Used floor sweep is disposed of in the solid waste disposal bin also.
•:• Anti-freeze is disposed of separately in its own disposal container, in the mechanic's
shop.
Make sure that manifests are filled out accurately and completely when material is
being removed from our site, including correct quantities.
❖ Get proper documentation for the disposal of car and truck batteries. Turn in this
paperwork for our files.
• A Hazardous Waste Emergency Information Form has been completed and is posted on
the bulletin board for review by all employees.
+ The form lists locations of fire extinguishers and the locations of Spill Control
Equipment. Employees should review this form and become familiar with these
materials in case of an accident.
.AJ
