Turner Rd.
Lodi, CA
The San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health
Division (PHS/EHD) has been included in the State Water Resources
Control Board (SWRCB) Underground Storage Tank Pilot Program for
oversight of assessment and clean up activities at contaminated
underground tank sites.
Due to the diesel hydrocarbon contamination reported in soil sample
SS-07-18 ' (Chemwest Analytical Laboratories) , collected by
Kleinfelder and Associates on May 19, 1987 after over-excavation,
the high soil permeability, and the relative shallow depth to
groundwater at this site, an investigation will be necessary in
order to adequately define the extent of contamination.
For the above reasons, a Preliminary Report (PR) should be
submitted to this office by August 1, 1990. Refer to the Regional
Board Staff Recommendations for the report format. After review
and approval, permits will be issued and site characterization
activities may proceed. Soil borings and groundwater monitoring
wells will be required in order for this office to evaluate any
request for site clean up certification.
If you have any further questions regarding this matter, contact
Harlin Knoll, REHS, of my staff, at (209) 468-3455.
Jogi Khann M.D. , M.P.H.
Health O i er
urie A.
