4.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
41 CONCLUSIONS
Based on the data collected to date, ESE has made the following conclusions:
• Ground water flow beneath the site is generally to the southwest with a gentle
gradient;
• TPH-D, and BTEX were not detected in the ground water samples from any of the
wells during the third quarter 1993, and
• An extensive investigation at the site and ground water monitoring performed at the
site over a three year period have not found impacted soil or detectable concentrations
of petroleum hydrocarbon constituents in ground water at concentrations consistently
above drinlang water standards.
4 2 RECOMMENDATIONS
ESE has the following recommendations
• The site should be closed with no further action required based on the lack of
evidence of an onsite source in the unsaturated soil zone and lack of evidence of
petroleum hydrocarbon constituents above drinking water standards.
• Upon receiving site closure, the wells should be properly abandoned in accordance
with State of California Well Standards.
Environmental Science
F\6925009\3gmr 993 S &Engineering,Inc
