- <br /> SITE 1 VESTIGATION REPORT <br /> Di Salvo Truck Lines <br /> 100 Ventura Avenue <br /> Stockton, California. <br /> Sari Joaquin County <br /> Prepared by <br /> CONDOR EARTH TECHNOLOGIES, INC. <br /> March 9, 1995 <br /> . f <br /> 1.0 LYTRODUCTION <br /> Condor Earth Technologies, Inc., (Condor) conducted an initial site investigation on January <br /> 19, 1995, at the Di Salvo Truck Lines property located at 100 Ventura Avenue in Stockton, California.. <br /> The site is located near the Port of Stock--ton, as shown in Figure 1, Appendix A. The purpose of the <br /> work was to investigate the lateral and vertical extent of soil contamination and assess the groundwater <br /> conditions near the location of two former diesel underground storage tanks (USTs) at the site. The <br /> location of the former tanks is shown in Figure 2, Appendix A. This report includes a brief site <br /> history, a description of the field procedures used during the investigation, a discussion of the results <br /> of laboratory analyses, and Condor's recommendations. Condor conducted this work at the request of <br /> Mr. Keith TaIlia of Oil Equipment Service (OES). 1 <br /> 4 <br /> 2.0 SITE BACKGROUND <br /> In October, 1987, OES removed one 5,000-gallon diesel UST (TKI) from the Di Salvo site. <br /> I <br /> A representative from the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health <br /> Department (SJCPHS,EHD) was on site to select the sample location from beneath TKI and the <br /> required laboratory analyses. A representative from Kleinfelder and Associates(KIeinfelder) was on ; <br /> site to collect the soil sample. One soil sample was collected from beneath the fill, or south end, of 9 <br /> TKI at a depth of approximately 15 feet below the ground.surface. Laboratory analyses detected 130 <br /> mJk= diesel in the soil sample.
