Training was provided to Sergeant J . Ramos regarding the emptying of <br /> oily rags on a nightly basis . <br /> 3 . A licensed hazardous waste hauler was contacted immediately to dispose <br /> of all wastes that have been onsite longer than permitted . A manifest is <br /> included with this response . <br /> Issue # 603 CCR, Section 66262. 34(e) ( 1 ) (C) — Failed to mark initial <br /> accumulation start date on satellite containers. <br /> Pharmaceutical hazardous waste has never been accumulated at the medical <br /> accumulation locations longer than three (3) months and being a large quantity <br /> generator facility ships out hazardous waste on a regular basis every 3 (three) <br /> months . However, in order to comply with the requirements of CCR section <br /> 66262 , DVI improved its labeling practice and now all satellite containers with <br /> hazardous waste are labeled with the initial start date and date when they are <br /> consolidated & at the main hazardous waste storage area (see attached photo) . <br /> A satellite container with used acetone/thinners have been marked with both <br /> days (accumulation start date at the satellite location as of December 23 , 2015 , <br /> and date when placed into the hazardous materials storage , June 2 , 2016) and <br /> has been shipped out — all within one ( 1 ) year. Both a photo and Manifest <br /> 009507907 FLE are attached . <br /> Issue # 605 CCR, Section 66262.34(f) — Failed to completely label <br /> containers or tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> 1 . The oily rags from the Armory have been collected and removed (see <br /> attached manifest) . Armory Sergeant J . Ramos has been provided with <br /> training on the management of hazardous waste generated at the Armory <br /> (see attached training sheet for Sergeant J . Ramos) . <br /> 2 . The excavated soil labeled appropriately and removed (shipped out to <br /> Industrial Waste Utilization) . <br /> 3 . The black RCRA container was labeled with appropriate information . The <br /> Pharmacy employees have been provided with training to keep containers <br /> with hazardous waste properly labeled . <br /> 4 . The hazardous waste container in the psychology tech . room was labeled <br /> with appropriate information . The Pharmacy employees have been <br /> provided with training to keep containers with hazardous waste properly <br /> labeled . <br /> 5 . The black one ( 1 ) gallon RCRA container was labeled with appropriate <br /> information . The Pharmacy employees have been provided with training <br /> to keep containers with hazardous waste properly labeled . <br /> 6 . The drain pan full of dark oily liquid was removed . <br /> 7 . The container of gun cleaning solution was removed . <br /> 8 . The 5 gallon container of "steel turnings" was labeled with appropriate <br /> information . The maintenance employees have been provided with <br /> training to keep containers with hazardous waste properly labeled . <br /> 9 . The one non-empty 55 gallon metal container was labeled properly and <br /> removed . <br /> 10 . The 5 gallon container of metal shavings and fines was labeled with <br /> appropriate information .
