DISCOVERY OF CONTA-MEN4TION: The State <br /> Representative shall be notified in case any unusual discoloration, <br /> odor ot,r texture of ground water,is found in excavated mate i odf <br /> abandoned, underground tanks, pipes, or buried debris are <br /> encountered- <br /> 21. SANITARY .k,�D SEPTIC WASTE: Do not bury or <br /> discharge Wastewater from a sanitary or septic system within the <br /> highway. Properly connected sewer facilities are free from leaks. <br /> With State Representative approval place portable sanitary facility <br /> at least 50 feet away from storm drains,receiving waters,and flow <br /> lines. Permittee must comply with Iocal health agency provisions <br /> when using an on-site disposal system. <br /> 22. LIQUID WASTE:Prevent job site liquid waste from entering <br /> storm drain systems and receiving waters. Drilling slurries, grease <br /> or oil-free waste water or rinse water,dredging,wash water or rinse <br /> water running off a surface or other nonstorm water liquids not <br /> covered under separate waste water permits shall be held in <br /> structurally sound, leak-proof containers, such as portable bins or <br /> portable tanks.Store containers at least 50 feet away from moving <br /> vehicles and equipment. Liquid waste may require testing to <br /> determine hazardous material content prior to disposal <br /> 23. WATER CONTROL AND CONSERVATION: Manage <br /> water use in away that will prevent erosion and the discharge of <br /> pollutants into storm drain systems end receiving waters. Direct <br /> runoff water, including water from water line repair from the job <br /> site to areas where it can infiltrate into the ground. Direct water <br /> From off--site sources around the job site or from contact with jobsite <br /> water. <br /> 24.PILE DRIVING:Keep spill kits and cleanup materials at pile <br /> driving locztions. Park pile driving equipment over drip pans. <br />
