CHRONOLO Y
CITY OF RIPON CORPORATION YARD
1210 VERA, RIPON C A 95202
SITE CODE: 1483
The site is located one block south of 7" Street on era Avenue in the City of Ripon. The San
Joaquin County APN is 259-330-04. The site is currently utilized as a maintenance and
storage facility by the City of Ripon. Two 10,000ga Ion underground storage tanks (UST) and
associated piping which were located on the lot w re removed May 23, 1990. Residual soil
contamination as diesel fuel was confirmed as a result of soil sample collection at the time of
UST removal. In January 1995 a workplan was submitted and approved by San Joaquin
County Public Health Services/Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) to install three soil
borings under permit, collecting soil samples at five f oot intervals. The borings were completed
as three groundwater monitoring wells due to the re atively high groundwater elevation (--20'
BGS). Limited groundwater contamination was evidenced. Groundwater flow beneath the site
is predominantly north. No TPH as gasoline or BTEX has been detected in soil or groundwater.
The soil and groundwater plume is defined. Ground ater is now nondetect for all constituents
analyzed for two consecutive quarters. Current and future beneficial use of ground and
surface water is protected. PHS/EHD has review d all site conditions and has determined
that site closure/certification is warranted.
1995
02/23/95 Three soil borings in the area of the Underground storage tanks located on the
parcel are completed as groundwatei monitoring wells. All soil analytical data
nondectect for TPH Gasoline, Diesel and BTEX. See the attached summary of
soil sample analytical results for spit borings: See Table 1, sample date
2123195.
02/28/95 Groundwater monitoring event. TPH as diesel detected, MW-1 ;150 ppb, MW-
2;330 ppb and MW-3;100 ppb. All other constituents nondetect. See Table 1,
sample dates 2128/95 through 12121195.
diesel detected MW-1 .1 10 b
05/26/95 Groundwater monitoring event. TP as ppb,
MW-2;530 ppb and MW-3;100 ppb. All other constituents nondetect. See
Table 1, sample dates 2128/95 through 12/21195.
F
10/04/95 Additional site assessment workplan submitted. Unjustified request
subsequently denied by LOP.
10/18/95 Groundwater monitoring event. All constituents nondetect. MW-1 ;ND,
MW-2;ND and MW-3;ND. See Table 1, sample dates 2/28195 through
12121195,
12/21/95 Groundwater monitoring event. All constituents nondetect. MW-1;ND,
MW-2;ND and MW-3;ND. See Table 1, sample dates 2128195 through
12121/95.
