vg
October 17, 1991
Lammersville School District Page 2
02320 029000
3.0 SITE CONDITIDNS
The most recent monitoring and sampling data was collected on August 27, 1991 by McCain
Environmental Services. These data were used to prepare a map of the groundwater table
(potentiometric surface), and the extent of dissolved benzene, and total petroleum hydrocarbaris-as-
gasoline (TPH-G). Groundwater at the site lies approximately seven feet below grade. The
potentiometric surface map(Figure 3,Appendix A)shows the water, table at the site flows toward east
under a hydraulic gradient of 0.03;however,historically the groundwater gradient has been dominantly
to the northeast.
The dissolved benzene and TPH-G maps (Figures 4 and 5, Appendix A) show that dissolved
hydrocarbons form a plume centered around well MW-2. Tabula_.d monitoring data and analytical data
from this work are presented in Appendix B. Analytical reports for water samples are included in
Appendix C. Reports which have been prepared regarding the investigation of the site are listed in
Section 6.0.
4.0 SCOPE OF WORK
To achieve the stated goal of defining the lateral extent of dissolved hydrocarbons in groundwater, the
objectives and tasks are described in more detail below. The project schedules included in Appendix
D, are relative schedules which begin when writte,i approval of this work plan is received.
TASK 1: Work Plan Approval
Submittal of this work plan by Lammersville School District to the SJCEHD for review will initiate this
phase of investigation at the Lammersville School. The SJCEHD will review this work plan, and upon
approval of this work plan(or as amended),will acknowledge approval to Lammersville School District
in writing. Encroachment permits from San Joaqucn County Public Services-Encroachment Department
for wells are being prepared and will be submitted under separate cover. License agreements with the
owner of the properties north of the Lammersville School are being prepared and will be submitted
its (Appendix E) should be executed at the time this
under separate cover. The attached well perm
work plan is approved, and the encroachment permits and license agreement are presented. Piease
note that an addendum to this work plan which includes feasibility studies may be submitted
approval of this work plan by the SJCEHD.
 Gliatl5+trTt:l;
TECllN'0l.0G1;1NC.
