04 May 2020 AdvaenceAOwned Geo <br /> Project No. 20-5080 <br /> Page 3 of 17 <br /> Geology and The subject property and surrounding area lie within the San Joaquin Valley <br /> Hydrology Groundwater Basin, Eastern San Joaquin Subbasin (5-22.01).This subbasin is bound <br /> on the south, southwest, and west by the Modesto, Delta-Mendota, and Tracy <br /> Subbasins, respectively, and on the northwest and north by the Solano, South <br /> American, and Cosumnes Subbasins.The Solano and South American are subbasins <br /> of the Sacramento Valley Groundwater Basin. The Eastern San Joaquin Subbasin is <br /> drained by the San Joaquin River and several of its major tributaries, namely, the <br /> Stanislaus, and Calaveras, and Mokelumne Rivers. The San Joaquin River flows <br /> northward into the Sacramento and San Joaquin Delta and discharges into the San <br /> Francisco Bay. <br /> Based on information obtained from the State of California's Geotracker database, <br /> groundwater in the vicinity of the property is found at approximately 34.5 feet below <br /> surface grade and flows to the general northwest. <br /> Topography The property is located at an elevation of approximately 47 above mean sea level <br /> (MSL) and in an area of low topographic relief. Regional slope of the area is toward <br /> the general northeast. <br /> Surface Soils EDR provides a report listing dominant soil composition in the general area of the <br /> subject property based on information from the United States Department of <br /> Agriculture's Soil Conservation Service STATSGO (State Soil Geographic Database) <br /> soil maps. Soil surface texture at the subject property consists of soil identified as <br /> tinnin, a loamy coarse sand in the Class A Hydrologic Group which includes high <br /> infiltration rates. Corrosion potential of this soil for uncoated steel is high. <br /> Surface Water A dry slough is located along the north and northwest subject property boundary line. <br /> Features The nearest surface water features in the vicinity of the property is the Stanislaus <br /> River, approximately 2.4 miles south of the subject property. <br /> Flood Zone The EDR database report shows that the subject property is not located within a 100 <br /> or 500-year Flood Zone. This data, available in select counties across the country, <br /> was obtained by EDR from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) <br /> which has maps depicting FEMA-defined 100-year and 500-year flood zones. <br /> Wetlands The EDR database report shows that the subject property is not located within the <br /> National Wetlands Inventory.This data,available in select counties across the country, <br /> was obtained by EDR from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. <br /> 4.0. HISTORICAL USE <br /> The history of the subject property from as early as 1915 to present was researched by <br /> reviewing aerial photographs, topographic maps, San Joaquin County Building <br /> Department records and a personal interview. Based on a review of historical records, <br /> the property has been utilized as residential property since at least 2006. <br /> Representative historical documents are included in Appendix C. <br /> 4.1. SANBORN FIRE INSURANCE MAPS <br /> Sanborn Fire Insurance maps were developed in the late 1800s and early 1900s for use <br /> as an assessment tool for fire insurance rates in urbanized areas but are now utilized as <br /> a valuable source of historical and environmental risk information.
