Gross weight:
System: 305 pounds
Backfill: 1,750 pounds
Installation Procedures
The contractor or person drilling a cathodic protection well deeper than 50' must possess a valid C-57 Water Well
Contractor's License (see Section 13750.5 of the California Water Code). The contractor or driller is responsible to
ensure that the following actions are taken:
1. Perform all work in accordance with the Department of Water Resources Bulletin, "Water Wells and Cathodic
Protection Wells" (Sections 13700 through 13806 of the California Water Code) and the local government agency
requirements.
2. Ensure that the local office has obtained the proper permits for drilling each deep well from the government
agency with the applicable jurisdiction. Consult with the city, county, and regional water quality control boards
before drilling. Keep the copies of all associated permits on site. Notify USA or verify that USA has been notified
before starting the work.
3. Drill an 8"diameter hole to the required depth.
4. Follow the installation instructions found in the system crate.
Rev. #04: 10-09-08 0-13.5 Page 1 of 4
