_ PC : 4-21-88 <br /> SP-88-1 <br /> REFERRALS AND REPLIES <br /> Application referrals were mailed on March 9 , 1988 , with a <br /> request that replies be returned no later than March 23 , 1988. <br /> Department of Public Works ( letter of 3-23-88 ) : <br /> The Department of Public Works recommends that SP-88-1 be denied <br /> because of pedestrian safety due to substandard sidewalk and off- <br /> set of the road centerline to the west . <br /> Caltrans ( letter of 3-22-88 ) : <br /> Caltrans notes that the construction of any improvements within <br /> the State Route 88 right-of-way would require the issuance of an <br /> encroachment permit . <br /> NOTE: On the previous Wilcox Road Specific Plan modification <br /> request for the Certified Grocers project , Caltrans had noted a <br /> potential need for signalization at the State Route 88/Wilcox <br /> Road intersection. More recently, Caltrans noted, in reviewing <br /> �. an application for expansion of the Certified Grocers use, that a <br /> traffic study for State Route 88 should be conducted to analyze <br /> the potential Wilcox Road buildout impact on the segment located <br /> between State Route 99 and Cherryland Avenue. <br /> Local Health District ( letter of 3-15-88) : <br /> The Health District notes that if SP-88-1 is approved, a con- <br /> dition should be added as follows: <br /> "The relocation of the one-bedroom house must stay 10 feet <br /> from the existing septic tank and leach field area. " <br /> NOTE: It appears that this condition no longer applies, because <br /> the applicant has amended the previous realignment proposal and <br /> substituted a proposal to decrease the sidewalk improvement <br /> width. The present proposal would not place the future road any <br /> closer to an existing residence . Moreover, modification of the <br /> Specific Road Plan cannot be conditioned in the manner recom- <br /> mended. <br /> APPLICATION DATA <br /> A legal ad was published in the Stockton Record on 4-11-88 . <br /> No. of public hearing notices mailed: 19.
