The owner or operator of a hazardous <br /> waste tank shall obtain a written assessment reviewed and certified by an independent, qualified, professional <br /> engineer, registered in California attesting that the system has sufficient structural integrity, is acceptable for the <br /> transferring, storing, and treating of hazardous waste, and that the tanks and containment system are suitably <br /> designed. Immediately have an assessment prepared for the 375 gallon used oil tank. Submit a schedule showing <br /> when this will be accomplished to the EHD and the completed assessment. <br /> This is a Class I violation. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(a)Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br /> One black 55 gallon steel drum containing used absorbent(full)was observed with a 7-24-2018 accumulation start <br /> date. <br /> Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site up to 90 days. <br /> Since it cannot be determined how long the hazardous waste has been on site, immediately contact a licensed <br /> hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest. Submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD within 30 <br /> days. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> In the main shop: <br /> -One black 55 gallon steel drum containing used absorbent(1/4 full)was observed with a hazardous waste label <br /> missing the accumulation start date and the hazardous property. <br /> -One black 55 gallon steel drum containing used absorbent(1/4 full)was observed with a hazardous waste label <br /> missing the hazardous property. <br /> -Two black 55 gallon steel drums containing used absorbent(full)were observed with a hazardous waste label <br /> missing the hazardous property. <br /> All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> -the words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> -name and address of generator <br /> -hazardous properties <br /> -physical state <br /> -composition (contents) <br /> -accumulation start date <br /> This was corrected on site. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class Il. <br /> 608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters. <br /> Bills of lading for the recycling of used oil filters for the last three years were not found on site. A copy of each bill of <br /> lading must be kept on site for at least three years.
