Florido, Elianna
From: Florido, Elianna
Sent: Tuesday, November 12, 2019 2:24 PM
To: 'Sam Harmison'
Cc: 'Dave Gust'; 'Steve Hronek'
Subject: RE: County Inspection - Foodliner
Importance: High
Hi Sam,
Thank you for your response to each item listed in my last email, in order to bring Foodliner Inc. back into compliance.
The "11/12/19 CUPA response" information/documentation written in red below is still needed to close out the
remaining violations:
1. Violation#102:
a. Items found in the "old shop"
L Black 2.5 gallon container of industrial pump oil—non-hazardous waste, disposed of into shop
waste oil collection container and was picked up by Safety Kleen on their regular monthly pick up
of used oil. —Submit the disposal record/hazardous waste manifest for this waste. The above
referenced material was initially classified incorrectly. It is a non-RCRA hazardous
waste. Attached is the shipping document from Safety Kleen that shows this material was
picked up and disposed of.
- 11/12/19 CUPA response:The waste oil collection manifest shows that the used oil was
generated by Safety Kleen, not Foodliner. Submit a consolidated manifest receipt or a
hazardous waste manifest that shows Foodliner generated the used oil.
ii. 5 gallon contain of an unknown dark liquid—determined to be used oil, put into shop used oil
container and was picked up by Safety Keen on their regular waste oil pick up. —Submit the
disposal record/hazardous waste manifest for this waste. Attached is the shipping document
from Safety Kleen that shows this material was picked up and disposed of.
- 11/12/19 CUPA response:The waste oil collection manifest shows that the used oil was
generated by Safety Kleen, not Foodliner. Submit a consolidated manifest receipt or a
hazardous waste manifest that shows Foodliner generated the used oil.
iii. A steel drum containing waste solids beneath the parts washer—currently using this as a
collection for solids from the parts washer in the shop—Immediately make a hazardous waste
determination for this waste and manage it according to the Title 22 hazardous waste
regulations. Submit a statement and supporting documentation (e.g. disposal record/hazardous
waste manifest) explaining how this waste was managed. This was an old part washer that was
not in use any longer. The steel drum was lined with a bag which the contents were dumped
into our waste oil.The bag was then put in our oily debris barrel for disposal with our regular
pick up with Safety Kleen.
- 11/12/19 CUPA response: Submit a consolidated manifest receipt or a hazardous waste
manifest that shows Foodliner generated the used oil.
2. Violation#301
a.
