3. Near Surface Soil Sampling - Some penentration of <br /> concrete allegedly occurred. Request - Consideration <br /> be given to redesign pads. Action - Consideration <br /> will be given. <br /> 4. Storm Water Pond Results - Sludge samples show <br /> elevated levels of Copper, Chromium, and Arsenic. <br /> Action - This subject may be addressed in the <br /> Pond Closure Plan. <br /> 5. Retort Pit Results - Heavy construction of <br /> contaminating metals. Requested - Further definition <br /> with remedial action. Action - Will be considered in <br /> the Remedial plan. <br /> 6. Vadose Zone Sampling - Analyses of water under <br /> Retort Pit showed high concentrations of Chromium. <br /> Requested - Considerations be given to determine <br /> the impact on ground water. Action - Consideration <br /> will be given. <br /> Comments were also made by Marge Rouch of the Department of Health <br /> Services as follows: <br /> 1 . Pointed out the need for further soil investigation <br /> in regard to migration into the contaminant zone. <br /> Action - Will be investigated. <br /> 2. Pointed out that STLC and TTLC levels will apply <br /> in the case of MCTC, that CAM criteria should be <br /> used. <br /> 3. Requested copies of all actual analysis results <br /> be submitted. Action - Requests have been made <br /> to send information to the agencies. <br /> 4. Requested an assessment be made of the <br /> contamination under• the asphalt near the <br /> retort pit. Action - Consideration is being <br /> given. <br /> 5. Requested a plan to provide drainage control <br /> be submitted. Action - Plan is made. <br /> 6. Coordinate soil and ground water remedial <br /> investigation efforts. Action - Will be done. <br /> The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency presented a Technical <br /> Review made by PRC Environmental Management, Inc. Marvin Young <br /> summarized comments. <br />
