This discharge permit will allow closure of the stormwater collec-
tion pond as soon as a water treating system can be installed and made
operational in the North Yard. A written closure plan has been submitted
to the DOHS and Water Board.
The investigation and identification of groundwater and soils continues.
Following characterization of the contamination, a site cleanup plan will
be submitted to the Department of Health Services and the Water Quality
Board. The public will be invited to comment on the plan, and all of the
investigative material will be available for public review. Upon agreement
among the DOHS, Water Board, and Marley, Marley will undertake the execution
of the plant cleanup plan.
The information contact in the Stockton area is Mr. Hal Daley, Plant Manager.
The address is 150 North Sinclair Avenue, telephone number (209) 465-3451.
a
o
j
i
s
