Box 2912
Mission, KS 66201
MARLEY COOLING TOWER COMPANY, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
We have reviewed the Plan of Study for the installation of monitoring wells
and .concur with the four tasks presented in the report.
However, we have one concern regarding the monitoring well design. The
typical4well profile included in the report showed the perforations in only
the first 30 feet of the aquifer. We request that the perforations span
the ground water table (i .e. , five feet above the water table and a minimum
of 20 feet into the aquifer). This should provide more representative
samples of the ground water. Please inform us when you intend to implement
the ground water monitoring system.
Due to other priorities and changes in staff assignments, I was unable to
review your submittal until just recently. I apologize for this delay and
look forward to resuming work with your company to resolve your current
water quality problem.
If you should have any questions, please contact me at (916) 322-1604.
ROBERT E.
