The nearest surface water feature ine,vicinity of the property is the Calaveras- <br /> River, located approximately 1 mile north of the forme UST No. 1 site. <br /> 1.2. WELL SURVEY <br /> A well survey was conducted on 26 July 1999 to gather 'nformation regarding the location and use' <br /> of municipal and: domestic-wells -within 2,000 feet 6f the- site. Well survey sources include: <br /> r California Water Service well survey, City of Stockton Nell Survey.and San Joaquin County Flood <br />.�, Control District and Water Conservation District (FCD&WCD). In addition, a drive-by survey of <br /> businesses and residences was conducted. There were no California,Department of Water Resources <br /> wells or California Water Service Co. wells within the search distance of the former UST No. 1 site. <br /> t. Seven private mater wells'were identified within the se rch distance.(Figure 3). <br /> Two water wells are located on the American Moulding d Millwork Company property; one well <br /> is approximately 50 feet west of the former UST No.I'll site, a second well is approximately 700.feet <br /> away. The wells are no longer utilized, at one time the wills supplied water to watertowers for fire- = <br /> fighting purposes. <br /> r ; Three wells are located on the grounds-of the San.Joa uin Cathol.ic'Cemetery and'two wells are <br /> located.on the:Stockton Rural Cemetery. The wells are a sentially agricultural wells, being'utilized <br /> for irrigation rather than for potable purposes. Representatives of both facilities informed AGE that <br /> water from the wells was not,utilized for drinking water. The wells are approximately 400 feet to <br /> t 1,900 feet west of the'former UST No. 1 -site. <br /> One well is-located approximately 1,400 feet west-sout west of the-former UST No. 1 site, and is <br /> r on the St.Joseph's Medical Center grounds.The hospital maintenance department informed,an AGE representative that water from the well is utilized for all purposes, including-drinking water. <br /> The wells most likely to be impacted by the rel ease'fr.orr i the former UST system would be the two <br /> on-site wells and the grounds irrigation well on the east side of the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery. . <br /> . 1.3.- SCOPE OF WORK <br /> The scope of work'forthis investigation included: <br /> Preparation of a work plan; <br /> • Preparation of-'a site-specific 144' alth,and SafetyPlan . <br /> Advmiced GeoEnvironin6tal,Inc. <br /> i <br />
